Dog Rescue – WAG Adoption Day Another Success
The WAG volunteers set up the shade tarp, table and WAG information while others went to the Wimberley Kennel and transferred the dogs to the adoption day event. As people would walk around the square shopping, they would come by the booth, pet the dogs, share stories of their pets, ask questions of staff, pick up information and generously leave donations.
The big news is that WAG has received several adoption applications. Most of them are nearly finished processing and by the end of next week 5 dogs will be placed in new permanent homes. What great news!!!
For those of you have followed my rescue post, Shaggy the Old English Sheepdog, I have been working with did not attend this event. He was given the first heart worm treatment last week and it was felt that it was best for him to remain in the kennel in a cool and calm place.
